About the Role
PJS of Austin, LLC is hiring an enthusiastic, bilingual Recruiter to join its growing team. This entry-level opportunity is suited to someone looking to start a career in recruiting and human resources. The role focuses on finding, engaging, and hiring qualified commercial janitorial staff across the Austin area. The selected candidate will manage the hiring process end to end, from candidate sourcing through onboarding, while working closely with hiring managers and helping the organization meet staffing needs efficiently.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate must speak, read, and write both English and Spanish fluently. A high school diploma or GED is required, and an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Experience in customer service, sales, recruiting, staffing, or human resources is helpful but not essential because training will be provided. Strong communication and people skills are important, along with comfort handling outbound calls and interviews. The role also calls for good organization, time management, basic computer literacy, Microsoft Office Suite knowledge, and familiarity with applicant tracking systems as an added advantage. Candidates should be self-driven, able to work independently, collaborate well with others, be authorized to work in the United States, and successfully complete a full background check.
Responsibilities
The Recruiter will oversee the complete hiring workflow for janitorial and facility service positions. This includes sourcing candidates through job boards, social platforms, community partnerships, and hiring events; screening applicants by phone and through interviews; scheduling interviews; coordinating pre-employment steps such as drug testing and orientations; and supporting new hires during onboarding so all paperwork is completed correctly. The role also involves keeping applicant data current in the ATS, writing effective job postings, maintaining a strong candidate pipeline, meeting staffing targets and deadlines, delivering a positive experience to candidates and hiring managers, and assisting with additional recruiting and HR-related projects as needed.
