Job description
Position Summary
Community Impact operates in a fast-paced environment, and this position is designed for someone who can keep up with that pace. The role combines two major responsibilities: running day-to-day full-cycle recruiting while also functioning as a dependable HR generalist across onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and learning and development. The right person will be comfortable managing a demanding and changing workload, bringing order to hiring activities, and supporting both employees and leaders in their growth.
Full-Cycle Recruiting
- Oversee the daily recruiting process from sourcing and screening through scheduling, interviewing, offer management, and closing candidates for several open roles at the same time.
- Work closely with hiring managers from the initial intake conversation through hiring, aligning on scorecards, setting clear expectations, and keeping communication flowing so the process keeps moving.
- Build and maintain your own candidate pipelines, including long-term talent pools for roles that are frequently open or difficult to fill.
- Monitor and report key recruiting metrics such as time-to-fill, pipeline health, source performance, and offer acceptance rate, then use that information to improve results.
- Create a candidate journey that consistently reflects the organization’s brand from first contact through the employee’s first day.
HR Generalist Operations
- Act as a daily resource for employee questions related to HR, recruiting, employee relations, learning and development, and workplace policies.
- Coordinate the full onboarding process so new hires feel welcomed, supported, and prepared for their first day.
- Develop HR reports and dashboards that help guide decision-making.
- Use practical knowledge of employment law, including FLSA, FMLA, and Texas and federal requirements, while keeping policies up to date.
Learning, Development & Leadership Support
- Create and deliver training programs that help employees and managers build their skills.
- Support leadership development by partnering with and coaching managers on strong hiring practices, employee development, and maintaining performance standards.
- Contribute to or lead HR initiatives such as workflow enhancements, system changes, and policy updates.
Culture & Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to make HR processes more efficient and more employee-friendly, including the use of AI tools for systems, workflows, and reporting.
- Help organize events that recognize team culture and company milestones.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent mix of education and work experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in an HR generalist role with direct ownership of full-cycle recruiting.
- Hands-on experience with Paylocity or another similar ATS is required.
- Working understanding of employment laws and regulations such as FLSA and FMLA.
- Proven ability to handle a high-volume workload that changes frequently while keeping multiple stakeholders updated.
- Comfort using HRIS platforms and willingness to learn new systems.
Nice to Have
- Bilingual ability in Spanish and English.
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills for reporting, along with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace experience.
- Previous experience training or coaching managers and leaders.
