Job description

About Re.Group

Re.Group is an Australian-owned organisation that develops solutions for recovering useful materials from waste and improving recycling outcomes. Its long-term goal is to support a society where waste is minimized and materials are reused instead of discarded.

The company places strong emphasis on making a positive difference in the community and works with charities, private businesses, and government partners to create local impact.

About the Role

You will be working in one of Re.Group’s Material Recovery Facilities (MRFs), which are recycling plants where mixed recyclables are received and separated. The role involves sorting incoming materials so they can be converted into paper, glass, reusable plastic, and metal.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pick recyclable items off a moving conveyor and separate them correctly.
  • Keep non-recyclable waste out of the process so plant machinery and final material quality are protected.
  • Inspect items and place them into the correct stream based on type, size, condition, or colour.
  • Escalate any equipment or system issues to management without delay.

Additional Information

This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to contribute to environmental sustainability and community benefit. If this sounds like the right fit, a resume can be submitted for consideration.

Leave it if you'd like a reply — we won't use it for anything else.
