Role Overview
TORQ Coatings is hiring a Regional Operations Manager to work side by side with the Founder and take a lead role in scaling operations across several markets. This is a practical, hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys building from the ground up, takes ownership seriously, and is energized by fast growth rather than routine maintenance work.
The position is based in the Chicagoland area and requires travel across multiple markets. The successful candidate will help strengthen field operations, recruit and develop leaders, improve performance on the ground, and establish the systems and accountability needed to support long-term expansion in the home services space.
Compensation includes a base salary of $80,000 to $100,000, with on-target earnings of $120,000 to $150,000+ and a long-term leadership path that could reach $200,000+ as the business grows.
What This Role Will Do
You will partner directly with the Founder to build and scale operations in existing and future markets. The focus is on creating strong teams, repeatable systems, operational discipline, and future leadership bench strength.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead field operations across several markets and ensure performance stays aligned with business goals.
- Improve output, efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction across active locations.
- Track KPIs and operational scorecards to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Strengthen processes, systems, and accountability standards company-wide.
- Work with leadership to support revenue growth and profitability targets.
- Source, interview, and hire high-quality talent.
- Build and coach production leaders, field supervisors, and crew leaders.
- Set clear performance expectations and accountability structures.
- Create succession plans that support future expansion.
- Design training systems for installers and production leadership.
- Visit jobsites and field locations to audit quality and execution.
- Maintain high standards for installation quality and customer experience.
- Spot operational obstacles and implement practical solutions.
- Support launches in new markets and help with startup execution.
- Travel as needed to back local teams and expansion efforts.
- Develop scalable operating models that can be repeated across locations.
- Advise the Founder on strategic priorities and growth planning.
- Help roll out company-wide operational initiatives.
- Lead through ownership, accountability, and execution.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate has leadership experience in home services, construction, coatings, concrete, roofing, restoration, remodeling, landscaping, or a similar field. You should be comfortable managing multiple crews, departments, or markets, and bring a strong blend of hiring skill, team development ability, financial understanding, and process improvement mindset.

Compensation and Benefits

Growth Path
This is not a seat-filling role. TORQ Coatings is looking for someone who wants to help build the business itself. The right person may grow into a senior executive leadership position with compensation above $200,000+ as the company expands into new markets.
