Job description
Role Overview
This position focuses on managing and growing a portfolio of Business Banking liability customers. You will serve as the main contact for assigned clients, build durable business relationships, and ensure their banking needs are handled efficiently while supporting the bank’s growth and risk objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee an assigned set of Business Banking liability clients and act as their primary banking contact.
- Build long-term relationships by learning each client’s business model, cash flow pattern, and financial needs.
- Hold regular portfolio reviews, stay in touch proactively, and close client queries and issues in a timely manner.
- Deliver on targets for CASA balances, term deposits, and new-to-bank acquisition in line with the bank’s strategy.
- Source and onboard high-quality new relationships that fit the approved segment and risk appetite.
- Increase wallet share through balance growth initiatives and retention-focused actions.
- Spot cross-sell opportunities across cash management, FX, treasury, trade finance, digital banking, and value-added packages.
- Partner with product, treasury, and operations teams to provide client-specific solutions.
- Follow CBUAE regulations, internal policies, AML/KYC standards, and all compliance requirements.
- Carry out periodic KYC reviews, follow up on remediation items, and maintain a clean portfolio.
- Identify early warning signs and manage credit, operational, and conduct risks before they escalate.
- Ensure account actions, limit requests, pricing approvals, and supporting documents meet audit and policy standards.
- Work with Customer Fulfilment, Operations, Compliance, Treasury, and Digital teams to complete client requests smoothly.
- Track account opening, profile updates, digital banking setup, and service requests through IBPS and related systems.
- Maintain accurate MIS, portfolio monitoring, and management reporting.

Requirements
- A graduate degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- 5 to 8 years of experience in Business Banking or Commercial Banking, with preference for liabilities-focused roles.
- Demonstrated success in portfolio management, book growth, and cross-selling.
- Strong understanding of Business Banking liability products and the basics of treasury.
- Good working knowledge of AML, KYC, and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical ability and sound risk assessment judgment.
- High standards of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
