Role overview
The Rents Advisor will manage annual and one-off rent reviews, working closely with residents and internal teams to make sure the correct rent is applied to every tenancy. The role sits within the Rent Assessment Team and supports accurate rent and service charge processing across all tenure types.

- Contract: Fixed-term position running until 31 December 2026
- Salary range: €32,584 to €44,803, depending on experience
Key responsibilities
- Help coordinate the yearly rent and service charge review process in line with organisational policies and procedures.
- Handle ad hoc rent assessments during the year for new tenancies, transfers, changes in household circumstances, and other rent-related matters.
- Guide residents on benefits and welfare supports where appropriate.
- Assist in reviewing and improving rent and service charge policies, processes, and procedures when required.
- Collect information and support reporting on rent and service charge assessment performance.
- Contact residents about rent assessments by phone, email, or letter as needed.
- Provide wider administrative assistance to the Operations team when required.
- Work with colleagues across Operations to improve service delivery and achieve shared outcomes.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders as needed.
- Carry out any other duties that are consistent with the scope of the role.

Person specification
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, customer-focused, able to communicate clearly, and comfortable solving problems. You should be able to manage your own workload with limited supervision, show initiative, and have a solid understanding of housing sector practices, legislation, and regulations.
Experience and qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in a customer service setting is essential.
- Experience in income management or rent assessment, ideally within social housing, is preferred.
- A professional qualification such as ICSH, CIH, or IAVI is desirable.
- Experience working with diverse communities and understanding social housing challenges is desirable.
- Familiarity with housing regulations, policies, and best practice is also desirable.
