Role overview

Join a highly respected healthcare organization known for patient-focused care and a strong research environment. In this position, you will support research initiatives by applying statistical, mathematical, and predictive modeling approaches to complex datasets, while also using programming tools to turn data into meaningful insights and decision support.

What you'll do

  • Apply foundational statistical, mathematical, and predictive modeling methods to create algorithms and support analytics work.
  • Use programming languages and tools such as SAS, SQL, SPSS, R, Python, MATLAB, or similar platforms.
  • Carry out core data analysis tasks, including validation, investigation, and hypothesis testing.
  • Support the Principal Investigator by preparing data, addressing research questions, and developing basic statistical and predictive models.
  • Look for and implement process improvements that make data extraction, reporting, programming, and operations more efficient.
  • Collect, organize, and process complex clinical and biological datasets.
  • Share findings through presentations and other communication as needed.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and help resolve problems in analytics programs.
  • Read and interpret research protocols and convert them into analytical requirements.
  • Run statistical analyses and contribute to machine learning model development.
  • Create charts, graphs, and other visual outputs to communicate results.
  • Support manuscript drafting and publication-related work.
  • Handle additional duties as assigned.

Schedule and location

This role is fully remote, with working hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Caregivers must live in Ohio, Florida, or Nevada.

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, plus 2 years of experience in data analytics, mathematical/statistical modeling, or machine learning; or
  • Master’s or PhD degree.
  • Strong proficiency in programming with SAS, SQL, SPSS, R, Python, MATLAB, or comparable tools.

Preferred experience

  • Background in machine learning and artificial intelligence.
  • Experience with EHR clinical data.
  • Statistical modeling experience.
  • Exposure to healthcare research datasets.
  • Experience building machine learning models.
  • Use of modern AI tools.
  • Managing data workflows end to end.

Physical requirements

  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for long periods.
  • Ability to use a computer and other office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate and exchange information accurately.
  • In some locations, ability to lift up to 15 pounds.

  • Follow standard precautions and use personal protective equipment as required.

Compensation

The expected annual salary range for new hires is $69,600 to $106,132.50. Final compensation will depend on factors such as work history, experience, skills, and education. This range does not include shift differentials, overtime, or the value of benefits such as healthcare, dental, vision, and retirement contributions.
