Job description
Role Overview
This position is part of the Reservations team for a hotel in Doha, Qatar. The role focuses on managing guest booking needs accurately, supporting revenue goals through effective reservation handling, and delivering courteous service in line with brand standards.
What You Will Do
- Handle incoming reservation requests, amendments, and cancellations by phone, fax, or mail.
- Assess guest requirements and recommend the most suitable room category.
- Check room and rate availability before confirming bookings.
- Clearly explain guarantee rules, special pricing, and cancellation terms to guests.
- Record and manage special requests with proper attention to detail.
- Respond to questions about hotel facilities, services, and room options.
- Use selling techniques that help increase revenue.
- Enter and retrieve information in the reservation system.
- Apply the correct codes and rates for special reservation types such as complimentary stays, employee discounts, travel agent inspection rates, and wholesale bookings.
- Follow escalation steps when guest issues need further support.

Physical Expectations
The role requires the ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
Preferred Qualifications
A high school diploma or GED-equivalent is preferred. No prior related work experience is required, and there is no supervisory experience requirement or certification needed.
