Retail Mall General Manager

Overview

This opportunity is with a well-established real estate development group headquartered in Singapore, with operations across Singapore and the wider Asian region. The role reports to the Managing Director, Retail, and oversees both asset operations and leasing-related activities. The position also manages teams across three core areas: Leasing, Marketing Communications, and Operations.

Role Scope

The General Manager will be responsible for setting the centre’s direction, ensuring day-to-day performance is strong, and coordinating multiple functions to support business targets. The role also includes ownership of financial performance, stakeholder engagement, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Shape the overall strategy for the centre and turn that strategy into measurable outcomes.
• Guide the team to keep centre operations running efficiently and without disruption.
• Oversee the centre’s daily performance, including management, coordination, and monitoring of activities.
• Work closely with the Asset Management team to maintain infrastructure, presentation standards, and asset quality.
• Create team action plans that support agreed business objectives and target delivery.
• Compile and present monthly management reports.
• Take responsibility for planning, managing, and improving the centre’s profit and loss performance.
• Stay informed about emerging retail trends and new market offerings, and propose fresh ideas or opportunities for implementation.
• Foster strong working relationships with important internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Handle additional tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• A degree in a relevant discipline is required.
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience is needed.
• Candidates with experience across both real estate and hospitality or attractions will be given strong preference.
• Proven experience in leading and coordinating a team is important.
• The ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and organise work efficiently is essential.
• A positive attitude and strong interpersonal manner are expected.
