Key responsibilities

The Rigger I will be expected to support safe and accurate lifting operations by assessing loads, selecting suitable rigging methods, and coordinating with the rigging and construction teams. The position involves checking lifting equipment, preparing lifting arrangements, and ensuring compliance with approved procedures and safety requirements.

Technical requirements

The candidate must be able to evaluate load weight, center of gravity, load dimensions, rigging hardware capacity, and crane load chart suitability. They should be capable of calculating sling size, choosing the correct hitch, and supporting critical lift activities such as tandem lifts, man-basket operations, and other designated lifting tasks.

The role requires compliance with Saudi Aramco GI 7.025, GI 7.026, GI 7.027, GI 7.028, GI 7.029, and GI 7.030, as well as the Saudi Aramco Construction Safety Manual sections III-8 for Sling and Rigging Hardware and III-7 for Cranes and Lifting Equipment.

Experience and skills

This position requires Aramco-approved Rigger Level 1 certification and at least 5 years of experience working as a Rigger I on Saudi Aramco projects. The candidate should be able to read and understand simple English instructions, correspondences, and memos, and communicate effectively with individuals and small groups.

The ideal applicant is organized, adaptable, decisive, detail-oriented, and able to solve problems using sound judgment. Strong teamwork, leadership ability, and a proactive approach to learning are also important.
