Risk Manager

Job Summary

This position is for an experienced Risk Manager who can spot, evaluate, and reduce risks across several projects and business functions. The role focuses on building and sustaining risk management systems, carrying out risk evaluations, watching key issue trends, and helping leadership make sound decisions that safeguard project delivery, financial performance, and operational continuity.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and roll out a structured risk management approach for both project work and operational activities.
• Pinpoint risks tied to timelines, budgets, safety, quality, contract commitments, and operational workflows.
• Perform both qualitative and quantitative risk reviews, including likelihood and impact assessment.
• Keep an updated risk log and monitor mitigation actions, accountable owners, and status progress.
• Coordinate with project managers and senior leaders to execute risk response and contingency plans.
• Track early warning signals and raise urgent risks to management promptly.
• Analyze root causes behind incidents, delays, and cost overruns.
• Contribute risk insights during tendering, planning, and execution phases of projects.
• Prepare recurring risk summaries, dashboards, and executive-level presentations.
• Lead risk workshops, training, and awareness activities for project teams.
• Help ensure adherence to internal procedures, contract terms, and relevant industry requirements.
• Assist with business continuity planning and readiness for crisis situations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Risk Management, Project Management, or a similar discipline is required; credentials such as PMI-RMP or ISO 31000 are considered beneficial.
• Hands-on background as a Risk Manager or in a senior role related to risk, project controls, or planning, preferably in construction or infrastructure environments.
• Clear knowledge of risk identification, assessment techniques, and mitigation planning.
• Experience using risk management systems and related software.
• Strong capability in analysis, numeracy, and problem solving.
• Good presentation, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Comfort working across multiple teams and managing complex, multi-project settings.
