The opportunity is based at Swissotel Corniche Park Towers in Doha, Qatar.

Role overview

This position is for a meticulous and service-minded Room Attendant who will help ensure guest rooms and common areas are kept spotless, well-presented, and ready for guests. The role is central to maintaining comfort, privacy, and a high standard of cleanliness throughout the property.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare guest rooms to hotel standards by making beds, replacing linens, and replenishing amenities.
  • Keep guest corridors, shared spaces, and service areas clean and orderly.
  • Respond quickly and politely to guest questions and service requests.
  • Use cleaning agents and housekeeping equipment safely and correctly.
  • Remove used linens, waste, and recyclables from rooms in a timely manner.
  • Flag maintenance concerns or damaged items to the relevant team.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping colleagues to keep daily operations running smoothly.
  • Follow safety and security procedures without exception.
  • Support additional deep-cleaning or special cleaning tasks when required.
  • Respect guest privacy and protect guest belongings at all times.

Qualifications and requirements

  • Prior cleaning experience is required; experience in a hotel setting is preferred.
  • Strong focus on details and a consistent commitment to cleanliness standards.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Professional, friendly manner with a guest-first mindset.
  • Comfortable working in a busy, fast-moving environment.
  • Good spoken and written English communication skills.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift for long periods.
  • Knowledge of safe chemical handling and manual lifting practices.
  • Able to work independently as well as within a team.
  • Positive, proactive approach and a willingness to exceed guest expectations.
  • Basic English proficiency is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with the hospitality sector in Qatar is an advantage.

The role requires the ability to stay composed under pressure in a busy environment, maintain a polished professional appearance, and collaborate effectively with coworkers. Local work-permit or other legal requirements may apply depending on regulations.
