About the Role
Alkhorayef Energy Systems is hiring a Safety Officer to help drive HSE/QHSE execution across its operations. The position focuses on building a strong safety mindset, maintaining compliance with health and safety requirements, carrying out inspections, and contributing to ongoing improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply and oversee health, safety, environment, and quality policies, procedures, and programs.
- Carry out regular workplace inspections and assess potential risks.
- Look into incidents and help put corrective and preventive measures in place.
- Draft HSE reports and keep safety logs and supporting records up to date.
- Confirm that safety gear, fire protection equipment, and first-aid resources are available and operational.
- Support and deliver safety induction, awareness, and training sessions for employees and contractors.
- Make sure day-to-day activities align with company requirements and applicable local HSE laws.
Requirements
- A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a similar discipline.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in HSE/QHSE.
- Working knowledge of industrial safety practices and HSE compliance requirements.
- Well-developed reporting, communication, and troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong command of English is essential.
- NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA certification would be an added advantage.
