Role overview
This position focuses on expanding a financing portfolio by identifying, engaging, and converting qualified micro-business customers into funded clients. Success in the role depends on disciplined underwriting awareness, compliance with regulations, and the ability to build lasting customer relationships.
What you will do
- Generate leads and activate customers who have already been onboarded but have not yet applied.
- Reconnect with prior borrowers to encourage repeat financing.
- Find new eligible micro-businesses through field outreach and structured data-led prospecting.
- Maintain a healthy and qualified sales pipeline that supports monthly targets.
- Explain product features and eligibility rules to potential customers.
- Prepare and submit applications that are complete, accurate, and ready for review.
- Work closely with Credit and Operations teams to help close cases within set service timelines.
- Improve the ratio of applications that progress to disbursement.
- Deliver against monthly disbursement goals and support repeat borrowing growth.
- Contribute to portfolio quality by sourcing responsibly and sustainably.
- Develop strong long-term relationships with clients and ensure a professional customer experience.
- Follow internal policies and regulatory requirements without exception.
- Avoid inappropriate selling practices and keep documentation ready for audit review.
- Keep CRM records current and share weekly and monthly performance updates.
- Monitor core performance indicators such as disbursement volume, application count, conversion rate, and portfolio quality in coordination with Risk.
Qualifications
- A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related discipline is required.
- Previous sales experience of 3 to 5 years is required, and lending experience is mandatory.
- Experience working with micro-business clients is strongly preferred.
- Solid understanding of lending products or financial services is essential.
