Overview

COBS Bread is seeking a part-time Sales Assistant for its Prince George, British Columbia bakery. This role offers a starting wage of $18.25 per hour plus $10.00 in free product for each shift. What the role involves

As a Sales Assistant, you will help create a warm and memorable in-bakery experience for customers while supporting daily operations in a fast-paced retail bakery setting. The role combines customer interaction, product presentation, marketing support, and light bakery assistance.

  • Support a small team in delivering excellent service and building relationships with regular customers.
  • Merchandise baked goods and help carry out in-store marketing campaigns.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the bakery and assist with production tasks when needed, including learning basic baking activities.

Physical requirements

  • Ability to remain standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Frequent use of both hands throughout the shift.
  • Regular lifting and carrying of up to 7.5 kg, along with bending, turning, and reaching below shoulder level.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying of up to 22 kg, plus pushing, pulling, crouching, bending, and reaching above shoulder level.
