An opportunity is available for an experienced Sales Estimator to join a well-established and expanding residential home builder in Norwood, Adelaide. As part of a cooperative estimating team, you will help prepare quotations, contracts, and variations while making sure projects are costed correctly from the initial concept stage through to contract finalisation.

Key duties

• Produce precise sales quotations, contracts, and variation documents.
• Examine plans and specifications to confirm pricing is correct.
• Update base model pricing and assist with regular cost reviews.
• Offer technical guidance on variations and construction-related questions.
• Build cost analyses across different home designs and project categories.
• Work with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and sustain positive working relationships.
• Support margin reviews and commission calculations.
• Provide internal teams with pricing, specification, and technical support.

What you will need

To succeed in this position, you should have at least 2 years of experience in residential construction estimating. You must be able to read architectural drawings and turn them into accurate cost estimates.

A solid grasp of residential building methods and materials is essential, along with strong attention to detail and well-developed organisational skills. The role also requires the ability to juggle multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, communicate clearly, and build effective working relationships.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word is required, together with a proactive, optimistic, and practical approach to problem-solving.
