Role Overview
This position is focused on acquiring and nurturing single-outlet independent restaurants within a defined city territory. You will serve as the main contact for these restaurant partners, understand their business needs, identify challenges, and build a relationship that supports growth in orders, visibility, and customer engagement. The role is highly consultative and field-oriented, requiring adaptability, initiative, and a genuine commitment to partner success. It is also designed to strengthen your consultative selling skills and deepen your understanding of restaurant operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage a specific geographic territory and build productive relationships with assigned restaurant partners.
- Spend significant time in the field, visiting restaurants in person to demonstrate products, explain ROI, and show the mutual value of partnering with Swiggy.
- Use a consultative sales approach by understanding current channels, delivery operations, marketing spend, and business goals, then positioning Swiggy’s offerings as practical solutions.
- Handle the full monthly partner lifecycle, including pitching, negotiation, activation, and continuous support.
- Monitor adoption and performance data, identify growth barriers, resolve issues, and adjust plans as needed.
- Take ownership of territory targets, along with your pipeline and conversion performance.
- Work confidently with city and central trackers using advanced Excel, Google Sheets, or WSP capabilities.
- Keep track of restaurant trends, competitive activity, and local market conditions, and share field insights that can shape product decisions.
- Conduct around 80 to 90 in-person meetings with restaurant partners every month.
Requirements
- 0 to 2 years of experience in B2B sales, field sales, or business development, preferably in FMCG, food and beverage, or the hotel industry.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed targets and manage an individual sales pipeline.
- Comfort handling a round-the-clock restaurant business and taking responsibility for the assigned partner portfolio’s growth.
- Strong analytical comfort, especially with Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and dashboard creation.
- Post-graduate qualification, preferably with a focus on marketing or sales.
