Position Summary
This role oversees SAMCO’s sales and business development efforts across Saudi Arabia, with a particular emphasis on project-driven sales of Schneider Electric products. The position is accountable for delivering annual revenue goals, leading the sales team, expanding market share, and building durable partnerships with contractors and consultants. It also plays a key part in strengthening SAMCO’s footprint in the electrical power distribution project market.
Core Responsibilities
- Create and execute yearly sales and business development plans that support company goals and are specifically built around Schneider Electric’s low-voltage and medium-voltage product range.
- Deliver the assigned yearly sales revenue and gross profit targets for Schneider Electric solutions across commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
- Search for, follow up on, and advance new project opportunities throughout Saudi Arabia, including Riyadh, Jeddah, Khobar, and other developing project locations.
- Maintain a healthy project pipeline with clear targets, keeping track of bid stages, expected closure timelines, and forecasted revenue.
- Obtain vendor registrations with major contractors and secure consultant approvals and product specifications for Schneider Electric offerings.
- Drive sales coverage across Riyadh, Jeddah, Khobar, and all existing as well as future operating areas.
- Build and sustain strong working relationships with consultants, contractors, developers, industrial organizations, government bodies, and project owners.
- Market and sell Schneider Electric product lines including MV switchgear (SM6, RM6, PIX), LV switchgear (PrismaSeT, Blokset), package substations, MDBs, ATS and synchronization panels, capacitor banks and power factor correction systems, LV busway systems (Canalis, I-Line), MCCs (TeSys, Altivar), LV distribution panels, and EcoStruxure Power and Energy Management solutions.
- Develop long-term strategic connections with key decision-makers at contractor and consultant firms to support repeat business and specification preference.
- Own project-based revenue outcomes and ensure annual sales and gross profit goals are achieved.
- Supervise and guide the sales team by setting individual quotas, reviewing performance regularly, and ensuring accountability for results.
- Assist with collection efforts for project receivables and track commercial performance, including margins and payment terms.
- Study market movements, competitor activity, and project news to refine sales direction and priorities.
- Run weekly sales meetings, monitor pipeline status, and provide direction on major opportunities.
- Encourage a performance-driven team culture centered on target delivery and customer orientation.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering is required.
- An MBA or similar business qualification is an added advantage.
- At least 8 years of increasing responsibility in electrical manufacturing, power distribution, or industrial sales, with strong exposure to project-based selling.
- At least 5 years of experience leading sales teams and being directly responsible for annual target achievement.
- A solid record of selling Schneider Electric products, especially MV switchgear such as PIX, along with Blokset, SM6, RM6, EcoStruxure, and related LV/MV solutions to contractors and consultants in Saudi Arabia, with sales volumes in millions.
- Consistent success in meeting or exceeding annual project sales targets and guiding a team toward shared objectives.
- A well-established professional network in the Saudi contractor and consultant ecosystem, including EPC contractors and engineering consultancies.
