Role overview
The Environmental Division in Stafford is seeking a Sample Receipt Officer to join an established team. This position centres on the handling of incoming and outgoing goods that support the efficiency and success of a commercial laboratory. It is a busy, varied role that requires careful unpacking, sorting and accurate processing.
Key duties
- Accept client deliveries and check that samples meet the required testing criteria.
- Log incoming sample deliveries into the laboratory system, including sorting and labelling.
- Review and interpret client paperwork and instructions.
- Arrange and chase freight collections for internal and interstate samples.
- Communicate with internal and external clients about sample submissions.
- Keep filing systems and documentation organised and up to date.
- Carry out general housekeeping tasks.
- Maintain strong occupational health and safety standards.
