Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Security Officer to join the luxury hospitality environment at Raffles & Fairmont Doha. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and peace of mind for our guests, colleagues, and hotel assets. You will act as a trusted guardian, upholding the highest standards of vigilance, discretion, and professionalism. Your duties will include maintaining a secure and welcoming environment, responding to incidents, monitoring security systems, and collaborating with various teams to ensure smooth operations. You will handle all security-related matters with calm authority, attention to detail, and respect for guest privacy, safeguarding the guest experience and upholding the elegance and commitment to excellence that define Raffles and Fairmont.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety, security, and protection of guests, colleagues, and hotel property across both Raffles Doha and Fairmont Doha.
• Conduct regular patrols of hotel premises to ensure all areas are secure and compliant with safety and security procedures.
• Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies according to hotel protocols.
• Provide courteous and discreet assistance to guests, colleagues, and visitors, maintaining a calm and reassuring presence.
• Monitor CCTV, access control, and other security technologies for effective surveillance and threat prevention.
• Collaborate with Front Office, Engineering, Housekeeping, Concierge, and other departments to ensure a safe guest environment.
• Control access to restricted areas, verifying identification and authorization.
• Assist in documenting incidents, accidents, and safety concerns accurately and confidentially.
• Support fire safety, evacuation procedures, and emergency response plans.
• Ensure compliance with all hotel security policies, procedures, and brand standards, upholding the luxury service culture.
• Maintain accurate security logs, reports, and records.
• Contribute to a culture of vigilance, professionalism, and teamwork to protect the hotel's reputation and assets.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in security operations, loss prevention, or a similar safety and security role, preferably within a luxury hotel environment.
• Strong English communication skills; additional languages are beneficial.
• High integrity, professionalism, and situational awareness with a commitment to guest and colleague safety.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for confident, respectful, and discreet interaction with guests and colleagues.
• Ability to remain calm, alert, and decisive under pressure, especially during emergencies.
• Familiarity with security systems like CCTV, access control, and incident reporting platforms is preferred.
• Strong observational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced hotel environment.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, in a 24/7 operation.
