Position summary
IBM is seeking a detail-focused Selection Specialist (Recruiter) with prior experience in managing hiring from start to finish. This role requires solid communication abilities, a strong grasp of recruitment workflows, and the confidence to operate in a fast-moving setting.
Key responsibilities
- Handle the full recruitment cycle, including sourcing, screening, shortlisting, interviewing, selecting, and onboarding candidates.
- Find talent through job boards, social platforms, employee referrals, and internal talent databases.
- Carry out first-round screening conversations to evaluate skills, experience, and cultural alignment.
- Arrange and coordinate interviews between applicants and hiring managers.
- Keep ATS and HR systems accurate and up to date.
- Maintain clear and timely communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.
- Develop and sustain a strong pipeline of candidates for both immediate and future needs.
- Support high-volume or bulk hiring initiatives whenever required.
Required qualifications and expertise
- 2 to 4 years of experience in IT recruitment.
- Strong understanding of technical hiring, sourcing approaches, and recruiting tools.
- Hands-on familiarity with ATS platforms and their use in hiring workflows.
- Excellent written and verbal communication along with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform well under pressure and meet deadlines consistently.
- Working knowledge of HR practices, recruitment metrics, and labor market trends.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications.
Preferred experience
- Experience in sourcing across multiple skill sets is an advantage.
- Exposure to bulk hiring, virtual interview drives, and event-based hiring is beneficial.
Education
A master’s degree is preferred.
