Senior Accountant

About the Role

This position is for a seasoned accounting professional to take complete ownership of finance and accounting operations for a fast-growing international business. The role calls for someone with experience across multi-currency structures, strong technical accounting capability, and hands-on expertise with modern accounting systems. The environment is fast-paced and suited to a candidate who can work with precision, structure, and speed.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle the full accounting cycle for one or more entities, including journal postings, ledger reconciliations, and month-end as well as year-end closing activities.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for multi-currency operations.
• Track cash positions, reconcile cash and foreign currency accounts, and oversee daily cash movement monitoring.
• Support the preparation of investor-facing performance reports.
• Coordinate external audit and tax work by working with auditors and tax advisors and assembling the required schedules and supporting records.
• Set up, enhance, and maintain accounting processes and systems, including tools such as QuickBooks, Xero, Airtable, Excel, and Google Sheets integrations.
• Build and strengthen internal controls and accounting policies while ensuring alignment with GAAP, IFRS where applicable, and other regulatory obligations.
• Deliver financial analysis and ad-hoc insights to senior leadership when needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
• An active CPA license in good standing is mandatory.
• At least 5 years of professional accounting experience.
• Proven experience managing multi-currency entities or accounts, including portfolios or entities with assets valued at USD 3–5 million per month.
• Working knowledge of accounting platforms and tools such as QuickBooks, Xero, Airtable, and Joiin.
• Strong analytical thinking, excellent attention to detail, the ability to perform under tight deadlines, and clear communication skills.
• Preferred background in automated reconciliations, API-based integrations, and workflow automation.
• Exposure to trading platforms, brokers, derivatives, or foreign exchange risk is an advantage.
• Prior experience in cross-border trading or investment settings is preferred.
