The position is centered on delivering HR programs with consistency, strong compliance, and disciplined execution to strengthen firm performance and support sustainable talent growth over the long term.
Reporting to the Chief People Officer, this leader will define and put into practice the firm’s HR operating model. The role requires building structure and alignment across talent management, employee relations, compensation, and HR operations, while working closely with senior firm leaders to improve performance, engagement, and organizational effectiveness.
Key Priorities
- Bring clear structure and accountability to the design and delivery of HR programs.
- Convert business priorities into coordinated HR strategies.
- Own and improve performance management and compensation processes.
- Set standards for HR practices and reinforce compliance with a continuous-improvement mindset.
- Handle complex employee relations issues and senior-level escalations.
- Apply people data and workforce insights to decision-making.
- Guide the evolution of the HR Center of Excellence.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have deep HR leadership experience, ideally within a law firm or other professional services setting, and will have worked at an enterprise level with senior executives. Strong judgment in employee relations, a practical understanding of how HR operations influence business results, and the ability to use data in talent and compensation decisions are essential. This position calls for a leader who is credible, execution-focused, and comfortable driving disciplined outcomes across the organization.
Experience and Preferred Qualifications
Applicants should bring at least 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience. Background in a law firm or professional services environment is strongly preferred. An advanced degree or an HR certification such as SPHR or SHRM-CP is also preferred.
