Role Overview
The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for interpreting financial information, building forecasts and budgets, and delivering clear insights that support business decisions. This role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and requires close collaboration with leadership and accounting teams.
Core Responsibilities
- Gather, structure, and review financial data from multiple sources to support analysis and decision-making.
- Create and maintain financial models that test different business scenarios and estimate future performance.
- Use analytical findings to support strategic choices and identify possible risks and growth opportunities.
- Prepare detailed financial reports that track key performance indicators for routine leadership reviews.
- Present financial summaries, trends, and major variances to senior management in review meetings.
- Build revenue and cost forecasts using historical results, market patterns, and business plans, then refresh them as conditions change.
- Study market conditions, sector trends, and competitor activity to understand their effect on company performance.
- Partner with the accounting team to help ensure financial records and reports are accurate and aligned with standards and internal policies.
- Review historical results, perform variance analysis, and recommend improvements based on observed patterns and performance gaps.
- Compare actual outcomes against budgets and forecasts, explain deviations, and provide guidance to improve future planning.
- Define, apply, and reinforce cost-analysis procedures to promote consistency and accuracy across the organization.
- Support and train team members on cost analysis methods and best practices when required.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics is required.
- At least 5 years of experience in financial analysis or a closely related position is needed.
- Prior experience working as a Senior Financial Analyst, or in a similar capacity, is expected.
- Practical exposure to financial and statistical software tools is necessary.
