Senior General Manager

Role overview

The Senior General Manager is a full-time remote position focused on keeping daily business operations running smoothly while helping advance the firm’s strategic and investment goals. The role works closely with senior leaders to turn broad company direction into practical operating plans, measurable performance targets, and clear execution steps across teams.

What you will do

In this position, you will coordinate initiatives that span multiple functions, refine processes, track key performance indicators, and make sure teams stay aligned and well-informed. You will also guide and grow high-performing teams, manage budgets and resource use, and continually improve systems, workflows, and governance practices.

Additional responsibilities include preparing executive-level reports, supporting risk and compliance efforts alongside specialist teams, and bringing operational priorities into company-wide planning discussions.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should bring strong strategic and operational leadership, with a track record of converting high-level goals into practical plans, handling complex workstreams, and delivering results across departments. Solid financial and analytical judgment is needed for budgeting, forecasting, performance review, and advising senior leadership.

You should also have proven people leadership skills, including team development, performance management, and the ability to create a collaborative, inclusive, and high-integrity work culture. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities are important, along with the confidence to present to executives, build cross-functional alignment, and influence outcomes without formal authority.

Excellent process and project management capabilities are also essential, especially for improving workflows, building scalable systems, and balancing timelines and priorities in a fast-moving environment. Experience in investment management, financial services, or another rigorous research-oriented setting is preferred, and exposure to multi-asset-class investing would be an advantage.

A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field is required. An MBA or other advanced degree, or equivalent practical experience, is beneficial. The role also calls for comfort working remotely, strong self-management, effective digital collaboration habits, and a careful approach to confidentiality and data security.
