Overview
This is a full-time, onsite Senior Interior Designer opportunity in Sydney with a respected architecture and interiors studio. The role offers a real progression track into Associate and ultimately Director, making it more than a standard design position.
The successful person will partner closely with the Directors, take ownership of major projects, guide a team, and help shape the practice’s future direction. It is suited to someone who wants both design leadership and long-term career growth.
What you will do
- Drive interior design projects from the initial concept stage through to final delivery and construction.
- Lead, support and mentor members of the interior design team.
- Develop and maintain trusted relationships with clients.
- Coordinate with consultants and other project stakeholders to keep work aligned.
- Present design ideas and help steer the overall design direction of each project.
- Collaborate with the Directors on business expansion, studio processes and project planning.
- Ensure a consistently high standard of design quality across several active projects.
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate will bring substantial interior design experience, with a strong background in premium residential work. Experience in other sectors such as multi-residential, hospitality, workplace or mixed-use is also valued.
- At least 8 years of experience in interior design.
- Essential experience in high-end residential projects.
- Exposure to one or more additional sectors such as multi-residential, hospitality, workplace or mixed-use.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor an interior design team.
- Strong capability in design development, documentation and project delivery.
- Confident client-facing and presentation skills.
- Revit proficiency is preferred.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A collaborative, proactive and commercially aware mindset.
