Job description

About the Company

Broadstreet Impact Services is an impact-focused financial services firm made up of two closely linked lines of business: fund services and fund management. The organization supports impact investing, helping funds aim for both financial performance and measurable social or environmental outcomes. It provides fund administration and operational support to fund managers, and it also manages select investment vehicles directly, including private loan funds and a specialized tax credit investing platform tied to the federal New Markets Tax Credit program. In total, the platform oversees roughly $500M in assets through funds operated and managed by the firm and administers about $1.9B in assets for clients.

Role Overview

The Senior Manager, Strategy & Operations is a senior individual contributor role focused on process discipline, execution, and operational excellence across the firm. The position serves as a central force for improving how the organization works, leading cross-functional projects through completion, supporting internal communications, and acting as a strategic partner to the VP on firm-wide initiatives. This role is responsible for helping the business operate more smoothly and effectively overall.

Compensation

The annual base pay for this position is between $109,000 and $130,000, depending on experience and qualifications. The role is also eligible for a discretionary yearly bonus.

What You Will Do

You will lead efforts to improve processes, coordinate projects, strengthen internal communications, and support knowledge-sharing and operational consistency across the organization.

  • Spot where time is being lost, handoffs are breaking down, or work is being repeated, then design and implement practical improvements.
  • Own end-to-end redesign of operational and business processes.
  • Keep runbooks, operating documentation, and process standards current for recurring work.
  • Work with the Senior Manager, Business Systems & Data to determine whether workflow issues should be solved through tools or system changes.
  • When a system or tool change is needed, lead the operational redesign and adoption effort while the Senior Manager, Business Systems & Data handles the technical build.
  • Partner with the MSP on IT- and security-related workflows such as onboarding/offboarding, access administration, change management, audit support, and cybersecurity training.
  • Manage operational and cross-functional projects from scoping and planning through coordination, execution, and post-project review.
  • Facilitate project meetings, prepare status updates, maintain decision logs, and escalate blockers to the VP as needed.
  • Coordinate technology projects with the MSP and Senior Manager, Business Systems & Data, while staying focused on project leadership rather than technical implementation.
  • Support the VP with firm-wide initiatives such as planning cycles, goal-setting, tracking progress, and other priorities that cut across teams.
  • Lead the cadence for internal communications, including messaging around major changes and keeping information flowing consistently across the business.
  • Organize company-wide training sessions and change management workshops to support adoption of new tools, workflows, and ways of working.
  • Own the operational side of People Operations, including onboarding and offboarding design, coordination of review and performance cycles with HR, and logistics for professional development with HR.
  • Define how knowledge is captured, organized, stored, and preserved across the firm.
  • Set and maintain documentation standards for processes, decisions, deal structures, lessons learned, and other institutional knowledge.
  • Create and uphold a clear information architecture across tools such as Box, SharePoint, the intranet, and Salesforce so employees can find information efficiently.
  • Build strong working relationships with leaders across both business lines, as well as the President, serving as a key connector for operations across the company.
  • Handle cross-functional operational work that requires senior-level judgment and does not naturally sit within another team.
  • Provide the VP with monthly reporting on operational health, including project status, progress on process improvements, and organizational issues that should be surfaced.

Qualifications

  • 7 to 10+ years of experience in operations, project management, or a chief-of-staff type role; candidates should be comfortable in a small or mid-sized organization where responsibilities can shift.
  • Strong background in project management, with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives involving senior stakeholders.
  • A process-improvement mindset with the ability to identify friction points, design better workflows, and drive adoption.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort acting as the communicator for company-wide updates.
  • Ability to work independently in ambiguous situations and manage a broad scope with limited structure.
  • Working knowledge of People Operations functions, including HR-related administration, training, and change management.
  • Experience in financial services or professional services is strongly preferred.
