Role Overview

The company is seeking a proactive and detail-driven Sales Coordinator to strengthen sales operations and support day-to-day execution. This role is best suited to a commerce background candidate with excellent coordination ability and strong command over advanced Microsoft Excel. The position requires regular collaboration with sales, production, dispatch, accounts, logistics, planning, stores, and customer-facing teams to ensure smooth order handling and high service standards. Immediate or early joiners will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

The selected professional will manage quotations, proforma invoices, commercial offers, customer purchase orders, and end-to-end order tracking. The role includes ensuring that orders move smoothly from receipt to dispatch, while coordinating with production, planning, stores, and logistics teams for timely fulfillment.

Day-to-day responsibilities also include maintaining daily order updates, supporting the sales team with accurate status reporting, handling customer queries over phone, email, and WhatsApp, and sharing clear information on delivery timelines, pending orders, payments, and dispatch schedules.

The coordinator will prepare daily, weekly, and monthly Sales MIS reports, analyze data using advanced Excel tools, maintain trackers and databases, and create dashboards and management reports whenever needed. The role further includes documentation control for customer records, quotations, sales orders, invoices, and dispatch paperwork, along with coordination with the accounts team for payment follow-ups and ledger-related support.

Additional duties involve working closely with internal departments, supporting the sales team in meeting monthly and annual targets, and assisting management with presentations, reports, and business correspondence. Performance will be assessed on quotation turnaround, order processing accuracy, MIS quality, dispatch coordination, customer response time, data accuracy, interdepartmental coordination, and overall sales support effectiveness.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Commerce is compulsory; B.Com or M.Com is required.
  • Hands-on experience of 2 to 5 years in sales coordination, sales support, or MIS roles is preferred, ideally within an electrical equipment manufacturing environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, IF, SUMIFS, INDEX-MATCH, charts, dashboards, data validation, and MIS reporting.
  • Comfort with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook is expected.
  • Exposure to ERP platforms such as SAP, Tally ERP, Oracle, or similar systems will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills are required.
  • The role demands the ability to manage pressure, handle multiple tasks efficiently, and maintain a customer-first approach.
  • Candidates with commerce qualifications, strong numerical ability, good follow-up skills, and experience in order management are especially preferred.
  • Professional candidates who can join immediately or at short notice will be given preference.
  • Preference will also be given to applicants with additional MS Excel or ERP certification.

Compensation

The salary offered will depend on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and prevailing industry benchmarks. The listed compensation range is INR 2,00,000 to INR 4,75,000 per year.
