About the Role
This position sits within Bechtel’s project delivery environment, supporting major infrastructure and engineering work across global markets. The Senior Scheduler will partner with the project team to build, assess, and maintain schedule data used in proposals, contract discussions, and project execution. The role plays a key part in keeping work aligned with timelines, identifying schedule risks, and shaping recovery actions when needed.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare schedule inputs and data for proposals or contract negotiations.
- Create and maintain schedules for a defined discipline, specialty, or work area.
- Build schedule structures by defining the work breakdown structure, activity durations, workflow logic, and associated job expenditure requirements.
- Track schedule progress, highlight critical activities, and update planning information for assigned applications or disciplines.
- Support maintenance of critical path reports and performance tracking metrics.
- Analyze schedule problem areas to determine activity criticality and potential impacts.
- Review and validate subcontractor schedules.
- Contribute to schedule recovery planning.
- Handle complex issues that require evaluation of multiple factors and practical judgment.
- Coordinate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders within the area of expertise.
Experience and Education
- A bachelor’s degree or an internationally equivalent qualification is required.
- Candidates should have 5 to 8 years of relevant experience, or alternatively 9 to 12 years of relevant work experience.
- At least 3 to 5 years of home office experience as a scheduler or planner on a large-scale EPC project is expected.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Hands-on experience with planning, scheduling, monitoring, and review functions in EPC projects.
- Strong verbal and written communication ability.
- Understanding of engineering and construction management principles gained through education or practical experience.
- Ability to interpret technical processes, engineering drawings, quantity take-offs, and financial reports.
- Comfort using PC operating systems and Primavera.
- Working knowledge of common productivity and discipline-specific software tools, including Microsoft Office applications.
