Role Summary

This position involves taking advanced responsibility for complex safety, health, and environmental work to support compliance with applicable standards and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities

  • Apply advanced environmental principles and technical methods to assigned work.
  • Work independently on self-directed tasks and use sound judgment to analyze data and solve problems.
  • Create, roll out, and maintain safety and health programs, procedures, and systems.
  • Identify, monitor, and help prevent hazards and illnesses in the workplace.
  • Investigate incidents, injuries, and complaints related to workplace hazards.
  • Recommend changes to processes, designs, operating methods, and equipment to reduce risk.
  • Develop and deliver employee training and emergency preparedness activities while ensuring program quality.
  • Provide technical guidance and interpret regulatory requirements for the team and stakeholders.
  • Prepare reports and propose corrective actions where needed.
  • Take technical responsibility for a major project phase or component.
  • Lead ES&H specialists and/or support staff as needed.
