Role Summary

This position is for an experienced Senior Stylist to work on-site in Bandon. The role may be full-time or part-time and can be either self-employed or employed. The successful candidate will deliver advanced hair and styling services to a varied clientele, support the creative direction of the studio, and contribute to training and mentoring within the team.

What You Will Do

• Hold detailed consultations with clients to understand their needs and desired outcomes.
• Create tailored hairstyles and looks that suit individual preferences.
• Carry out cutting, colouring, and styling services to a high standard.
• Recommend suitable products and treatments that support hair care and client goals.
• Help maintain the studio’s creative standard and overall service quality.
• Support and guide junior stylists through mentoring and skills sharing.
• Assist with training on techniques, procedures, and best practices.
• Keep your workstation clean, organised, and compliant with safety requirements.
• Follow health and safety regulations at all times.
• Manage appointments efficiently and contribute to a smooth salon workflow.
• Help create a positive, professional, and collaborative salon atmosphere.

Qualifications and Experience

• Strong ability in advanced cutting, colouring, and styling, supported by a solid portfolio.
• Experience in client consultations and delivering personalised service.
• Capability to build lasting relationships with clients.
• Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members.
• Good time management, organisation, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional, inclusive, and respectful approach in all interactions.
• Current knowledge of styling trends, tools, and products, with a commitment to continued learning.
• A valid cosmetology or styling licence, where required by local rules.
• Previous experience in a senior or lead stylist role is preferred.
• Ability to work on-site in Bandon on a full-time schedule, including busy periods and occasional weekends.

This role is available as either full-time or part-time and may be undertaken on a self-employed or employed basis. The workplace is onsite in Bandon, County Cork, Ireland.
