About the role

As a Service Planner, you will play a key part in keeping wind farm service operations running safely and efficiently. Working within the wider Service Scheduling team, you will coordinate with site teams and service crews to produce clear planning outcomes that support strong operational performance.

This position sits within Vestas Wind Service, which maintains and services wind turbines on client-owned sites. The work supports operational targets around output, downtime, cost control, and environmental and safety obligations. Depending on where the successful candidate is based, the role will operate from either Wambo or Dulacca.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage territory work orders so that downtime stays low and productivity remains high.
  • Keep the service crew makeup current and adjust it according to workload needs.
  • Plan and track tools, parts, and services in advance of crew dispatch.
  • Handle daily crew scheduling and make necessary adjustments as priorities change.
  • Ensure the service plan matches the requirements of service contracts.
  • Maintain timely communication with crews and external partners.
  • Monitor and balance planning-related KPIs and PPIs.

Requirements and competencies

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a similar qualification.
  • Strong technical understanding and sound planning capability.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, SAP, and Salesforce.
  • A structured, process-focused approach to work.
  • Flexibility to adapt in a changing environment.
  • Strong internal and external stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to stay effective when working under pressure.
  • Clear and confident communication skills.
  • Self-directed and well organised.
  • Strong awareness of safety practices.
