Role Summary
This is a full-time, on-site position in Bihar for someone who can lead community-oriented efforts, plan field activities, and coordinate local initiatives. The role involves regular interaction with community members, stakeholders, volunteers, and partner groups, along with field visits and direct support for project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and guide community programs and local initiatives.
- Carry out field visits and engage directly with residents, stakeholders, and partner organizations.
- Arrange workshops, awareness drives, and group meetings.
- Record activity details, track outcomes, and share progress updates with leadership.
- Work closely with volunteers and internal team members to support project delivery.
- Identify community needs and spot opportunities for new social initiatives.
- Maintain a steady on-ground presence and contribute to relationship building in the field.
Qualifications
- Ability to connect with communities, build trust, and lead discussions with varied groups.
- Good organizing and coordination skills for scheduling, event planning, and record-keeping.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; knowledge of Bihar’s local languages is important, and English is an advantage.
- Familiarity with social development, public welfare, or non-profit work is helpful; prior community project experience is a plus.
- Comfort working independently in the field, taking initiative, and making value-aligned decisions.
- Empathy, cultural awareness, and a commitment to inclusion and social justice.
- Minimum qualification: high school diploma; a background in social work, sociology, development studies, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Willingness to travel across Bihar and adjust working hours as required by community activities.
