Soft Services Supervisor – Housekeeping

Role overview

El Seif Operation and Maintenance is seeking a Soft Services Supervisor – Housekeeping to lead cleaning and housekeeping activities across facility management assignments in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This position focuses on maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, order, and presentation across offices, common areas, rooms, apartments, and other site spaces.

What the job involves

You will coordinate housekeeping teams, allocate daily duties, manage shift planning, oversee extra hours when needed, and keep operations running smoothly. The role also includes checking service quality, tracking cleaning supplies, supporting special cleaning jobs, and preparing regular operational updates for management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead housekeeping and cleaning staff across the assigned facility areas.
• Make sure all spaces remain clean, hygienic, orderly, and well presented.
• Plan staff rosters, task distribution, overtime when needed, and day-to-day manpower deployment.
• Inspect apartments, rooms, offices, public zones, and service areas on a regular basis.
• Check cleaning output, staff conduct, uniform standards, appearance, and adherence to housekeeping procedures.
• Handle customer concerns, special requests, and operational needs in a professional manner.
• Assist with major cleaning campaigns and special deep-cleaning activities when required.
• Track cleaning consumables, raise replenishment needs, and ensure Safety Data Sheets are available.
• Submit daily and weekly progress reports to the reporting manager.
• Record work orders, service updates, or operational logs in Maximo, CAFM, or similar systems when required.
• Apply housekeeping procedures, chemical handling rules, health and safety requirements, environmental guidelines, and safe work methods.
• Coach, guide, motivate, and support team members to improve output and service quality.
• Liaise with engineering or maintenance teams for repair and upkeep of housekeeping equipment.
• Build effective working relationships with internal teams, clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Required qualifications

• Saudi nationality is required.
• Candidates must already be in Jeddah or willing to work on-site there.
• A high school certificate or an equivalent qualification is the minimum educational level.
• At least 3 years of experience in housekeeping supervision, soft services supervision, cleaning operations, or facility services.
• Strong leadership and people-management capability.
• Good spoken and written communication in both Arabic and English.
• Ability to plan workloads, organize shifts, allocate manpower, and follow through on daily operations.
• Working knowledge of cleaning methods, chemicals, equipment, hygiene expectations, and safe work practices.
• Ability to prepare daily and weekly reports and communicate clearly with line managers.
• Comfortable with a total salary package in the range of SAR 6,000 to SAR 8,000.

Preferred background

• Experience in Facility Management, Soft FM, O&M, hotels, residential compounds, hospitals, airports, malls, universities, or large property portfolios is preferred.
• Familiarity with Maximo, CAFM, or other facility management platforms is an advantage.
• BICSc certification or formal housekeeping/cleaning management training is useful.
• Additional training in HACCP, COSHH, IOSH, HSE, or chemical safety is an added advantage.
• Experience managing medium to large housekeeping teams is preferred.
• Ability to deal with customer complaints and stakeholder requests professionally.
• Strong attention to detail with a consistent focus on quality, hygiene, and service standards.
