Spa Therapist

Role Overview

This role sits within the spa team at a luxury hospitality property in West Bay, Doha. The position is non-management and follows a full-time schedule. The therapist is responsible for delivering high-quality spa treatments and ensuring every guest receives a safe, professional, and welcoming experience.

Core Duties

• Deliver massage treatments using appropriate props and/or products.
• Perform body therapies such as scrubs, wraps, and hydrotherapy sessions.
• Review guest needs before service and ask about conditions that may affect treatment, including allergies, high blood pressure, and pregnancy.
• Stay current with modern treatment methods, techniques, and spa modalities.
• Escort guests to and from treatment areas in a courteous manner.
• Prepare the treatment space, workstation, and draping materials before each service.
• Check in with guests regularly during treatments to support comfort, safety, and security.
• Recommend and promote spa and salon offerings, including related retail products.
• Clean, sterilize, and maintain all tools and equipment used in service delivery.
• Keep work areas and treatment rooms clean throughout the shift, remove waste and used linens, and secure supplies at the end of the day.
• Manage appointment timing carefully and keep services on schedule.
• Respond to inappropriate guest conduct by following established company procedures, which may include ending the service and notifying a supervisor.
• Maintain active service skills and required licensure in line with regional rules.

• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Follow all company policies and procedures at all times.
• Keep uniform and personal appearance neat, clean, and professional.
• Protect confidential information and safeguard company property.
• Greet guests warmly, recognize their needs, and respond with genuine appreciation.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and guests.
• Build respectful and positive working relationships with the team.
• Be able to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and handle objects of different sizes and weights.
• Be able to lift, move, push, pull, carry, and place items weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
• Use fine motor control and hand-eye coordination while handling treatment tools and products.
• Carry out additional reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.

Qualification Requirements

Applicants should have completed a technical, trade, or vocational school program. A minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience is preferred. No supervisory experience is required. A state or regional massage license is mandatory.
