Job description
Overview
This role supports the SOJTF-C J3X Director in coordinating special operations activity across the region. It is based in Doha, Qatar and serves the CENTCOM Area of Responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Help the SOJTF-C J3X Director manage and coordinate special operations activity across the region.
- Provide advice to the J3X and SOJTF-C Commander on planning and carrying out all special operations missions.
- Assist with coordination, deconfliction, and synchronization of special operations efforts throughout the region.
- Work closely with the intelligence community to support shared objectives and mission alignment.
- Contribute to the planning and coordination of special operations activities within the area of responsibility.
- With J3X oversight and approval, gather special operations activity data and distribute it across the controlled operations community.
- Support J3X training for subordinate SOAAs so database administration, OPSEC, and relevant tactics, techniques, and procedures are properly executed.
- Assist in meeting campaign plan goals as directed by the COR.
- Help develop, review, and implement special operations policies across the command.
Qualifications
Applicants need Top Secret/SCI clearance. The role requires a bachelor's degree plus 8 to 12 years of experience, or equivalent relevant experience. Candidates must be able to obtain a GCOMS account and should have at least 10 years of operational experience and subject matter expertise in Unconventional Warfare, Advanced Special Operations Techniques, and Operational Preparation of the Environment. Prior U.S. Special Operations experience is required, with qualifying military backgrounds at E7 or above, CW2 or above, or O3 or above. Preferred experience includes CMF 18 series or a related background, along with graduation from the ASOT Managers Course.

This position is located in Qatar and supports the CENTCOM AOR. The posted compensation range is USD 120,000 to USD 134,000 per year.
Preferred Qualifications
CMF 18 series or a closely related background is preferred. Completion of the ASOT Managers Course is also preferred.
