Sr. Team Member - Financial Reporting & Compliance

The role centers on managing asset accounting, maintaining compliance across multiple GAAP frameworks, completing month-end and period-end closings on schedule, and preparing management reporting. Strong working knowledge of SAP Hana, advanced Excel capability, and a mindset for automation and process enhancement are important for success in this role.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn the fixed assets register by accurately recording additions, disposals, depreciation, and other asset movements.Carry out periodic physical checks of assets and match the results against the fixed asset records.Work with different teams to support capital expenditure planning, tracking, and monitoring.Ensure fixed asset accounting and reporting comply with relevant GAAP requirements, including IFRS, US GAAP, and local GAAP.Prepare fixed asset reports for both internal teams and external stakeholders.Contribute to financial statement preparation with particular attention to fixed assets.Develop MIS reports for leadership review.Prepare audit support schedules and respond to auditor questions related to fixed assets.Strengthen and maintain internal controls for the fixed assets process to support accuracy and compliance.Investigate audit observations, close issues, and implement corrective actions and recommendations.Ensure month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities for fixed assets are completed accurately and on time.Reconcile the fixed asset sub-ledger with the general ledger and post related journal entries.Review variations and explain significant differences.Advise management on CapEx versus OpEx evaluations and related accounting impact.Share insights on fixed asset implications and enterprise asset lifecycle management.Use SAP Hana for asset tracking, reporting, and analysis.Improve fixed asset workflows for greater efficiency and accuracy.Promote the use of automation and advanced technology in fixed assets and asset lifecycle management.Train and assist team members on fixed asset accounting practices and standards.RequirementsA professional accounting qualification such as CA or Cost Accountant is preferred.At least 1 to 3 years of experience in fixed assets accounting within a multi-GAAP setting.Hands-on experience with SAP Hana and strong Microsoft Excel proficiency.Good working knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, and local GAAP.Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.High attention to detail along with solid organizational skills.Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines, and handle multiple priorities at once.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Proactive attitude with a strong commitment to timely delivery.Experience in a listed company is an added advantage.Exposure to other ERP platforms is preferred.Background in process improvement initiatives is beneficial.Familiarity with additional accounting tools and software is desirable.Additional InformationThis is a full-time onsite role based in Pune Division, Maharashtra, India. The position focuses on fixed assets accounting, compliance, reporting, audit support, month-end closures, and continuous process improvement.
