About the Role

We are seeking a diligent and hardworking Steward to join the Food & Beverage department at the First Vignette Collection in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Carlton Al Moaibed Hotel). This position is crucial for upholding superior standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and operational assistance within the kitchen and dining environments. Primary Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean and sanitize all kitchen utensils, dishes, glassware, and equipment, adhering strictly to hotel hygiene protocols.
• Maintain kitchen and food preparation areas in a consistently clean, organized, and safe condition.
• Provide basic assistance to chefs and kitchen staff with food preparation and other kitchen tasks as needed.
• Manage waste disposal and recycling processes in compliance with hotel and environmental regulations.
• Ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of dishwashing stations, storage areas, and all back-of-house spaces.
• Safely operate and store all cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Promptly report any equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or hazardous conditions to the supervisor.
• Assist with the receiving and storage of deliveries, ensuring proper hygiene and organization.
• Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and health and safety regulations at all times.
• Support the kitchen team during peak service periods to facilitate a smooth workflow.
• Maintain a professional appearance and wear the designated uniform and necessary protective gear.
• Undertake additional tasks as directed by the Supervisor or Kitchen Management.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a stewarding, kitchen, or cleaning capacity is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced setting and manage physically demanding duties.
• Fundamental knowledge of hygiene and cleanliness standards.
• Strong collaborative spirit and readiness to support kitchen and service teams.
• Adaptability to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Good physical condition, with the ability to stand for extended periods, lift objects, and perform repetitive actions.
• A positive outlook, dependability, and a dedication to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
