Job description

Role overview

Vestas is seeking a proactive, well-organized, and safety-focused Stock Keeper to support operations across the Lal Lal and Cherry Tree Wind Farms. This role suits someone who enjoys hands-on work, can stay on top of multiple priorities, and is interested in building a career in the renewable energy sector.

Previous experience in renewables is not required. If you bring the right mindset and willingness to learn, training will be provided.

You will be part of a global business contributing to clean energy, with opportunities to build new capabilities, grow professionally, and work within a collaborative team environment that places strong emphasis on safety and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Keep stock, tools, and equipment arranged efficiently to support day-to-day service work.
  • Prepare and track purchase requisitions as needed.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and outside partners to keep work flowing smoothly.
  • Produce reports and support smooth warehouse and operations management.
  • Carry out safety inspections and help maintain OH&S compliance.
  • Raise orders for tools and consumables required for service activities.
  • Identify issues in processes and contribute practical improvements.
  • Maintain a warehouse that is tidy, secure, and well controlled.
  • Take part in stocktakes and regular inventory cycle counts.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of warehousing or logistics is preferred.
  • Strong administrative ability and confidence using computers are needed.
  • A full, clean driver’s licence is required.
  • Willingness to learn forklift operation and work toward high-risk licences.
  • Forklift licence is an advantage, though not mandatory.
  • Training in Dangerous Goods handling can be arranged.
  • Comfort using Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • SAP knowledge is helpful but not essential.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
  • Commitment to safety and maintaining a safe workplace.
  • Ability to work well in a team and contribute positively.
  • Willingness to perform under pressure and in changing conditions.
  • Flexibility to adapt when work requirements shift unexpectedly.
  • Ability to travel within the state when required.
