Role overview
This is an entry-level retail sales associate position designed for people who want flexible scheduling and a chance to grow. The work includes cash handling, fuel transactions, cleaning, and stocking. In some foodservice locations, the role also involves preparing food and following food safety standards. The environment is team-oriented and customer-facing, with regular interaction with shoppers.
What the role involves
- Handle register transactions and manage cash accurately.
- Process fuel-related purchases and related customer transactions.
- Keep the store clean, organized, and ready for customers at all times.
- Restock products and support day-to-day store presentation.
- In foodservice roles, prepare food and follow food safety procedures.
- Deliver friendly service and help create a positive customer experience.
- Support the store’s rewards and loyalty program.
What you should bring
- A positive, customer-focused attitude and a willingness to exceed expectations.
- Comfort working in a clean, safe, and well-maintained store environment.
- Ability to learn proper food preparation and presentation, including coffee service.
- Confidence in cash handling and fuel transaction processing.
- Ability to follow health code and safety standards.
- Capability to juggle multiple tasks and remain active through bending, standing, and reaching.
- Ability to occasionally lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Training and growth
No prior cashier, customer service, retail, or foodservice experience is required. Training is provided to help new team members succeed. The company also emphasizes internal growth and advancement opportunities across levels.
