Role overview

This full-time Store Operations Specialist position in the London Area, United Kingdom is focused on keeping store operations running smoothly, with particular attention to stock accuracy, replenishment, and overall trading support. Reporting line: General Manager, Department Manager, or Operations Manager.

Main purpose of the role

The role exists to help the store maintain efficient stock control and strong operational standards so the team can support sales and provide a positive customer experience. A major part of the job is ensuring products move correctly from delivery to the shop floor and that key items remain available when customers need them.

Core responsibilities

  • Keep the stockroom well organised and maintain reliable inventory control.
  • Track stock movement from receipt through to the sales floor, with extra attention on fast-selling products.
  • Carry out frequent stock counts to reduce mismatches and avoid shortages on the floor.
  • Help maintain loss-prevention practices and day-to-day operating standards.
  • Review sales and stock information to decide what should be replenished first and to improve product availability.
  • Watch bestselling items closely and make sure the floor is restocked quickly to support sales.
  • Look for practical ways to improve sell-through and make store processes more efficient.
  • Work closely with managers and front-of-house teams to support smooth store operations.
  • Assist with fitting rooms, checkout points, and customer service during busy trading times.
  • Communicate clearly and consistently so the store can operate efficiently every day.

Experience and profile

Previous experience in retail operations or stock management is preferred. The ideal candidate is organised, analytical, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a busy, fast-moving store environment. A strong sense of teamwork and a customer-focused approach are important.
