Role overview

Civeo Australia is hiring an experienced Store Person for its Dysart village in the Bowen Basin. This position follows a 5:2 roster, running Tuesday through Saturday, and supports a large workforce accommodation site that can host up to 1,600 guests.

The role is central to day-to-day village operations, with a primary focus on assisting the catering and housekeeping teams by receiving, logging, storing, and issuing both perishable and non-perishable supplies. This is a permanent full-time role with room for long-term growth.

Key duties

• Check incoming shipments and confirm that delivery paperwork matches the goods received.
• Use a forklift to safely unload transport vehicles.
• Place stock in the correct storage locations while following safety and quality requirements.
• Keep stock rotation current and help reduce the amount of outdated inventory.
• Move supplies around the village as needed to meet operational demand.
• Handle invoicing tasks, including receiving invoices and entering them into the stock management system.
• Contribute to stocktakes by identifying shortages or issues and raising them with management where necessary.
• Flag any stock items of concern to management.
• Follow all workplace health and safety requirements, especially those related to forklift use.

What we’re looking for

You should bring forklift operating experience and a current LF forklift licence. A valid Australian driver’s licence is preferred, with a C class licence ideal. Applicants must have unrestricted and ongoing Australian work rights.

Previous experience in a similar role is important, ideally gained in hospitality or a related environment. You’ll also need a solid understanding of stock rotation and stocktaking processes.

As part of the hiring process, you must be willing to complete pre-employment screening, including a National Police Clearance and a medical assessment.

Offer and benefits

The salary package is $73,875 plus superannuation. The role comes with a 5:2 roster, support for full-time accommodation, and a permanent full-time contract. Pay is equalised fortnightly, which means there are no large or small pay cycles.
