Job description
Role summary
The Store Supervisor role is a hands-on shift leadership position focused on keeping the outlet running smoothly. The job centers on managing team activity during the shift so that standards for people, product presentation, store cleanliness, and guest experience are consistently met. It also includes monitoring stock levels for the Skechers brand.
People management
- Set the tone on shift by treating team members and guests with courtesy and respect.
- Respond quickly when problems or urgent matters arise during service.
- Give clear, continuous guidance to staff throughout the shift.
- Create an energetic and enjoyable workplace while keeping the team motivated toward targets.
- Support onboarding, orientation, and performance monitoring for new hires.
- Share feedback with the Store Manager on team performance, whether positive or negative.
- Help maintain the right staffing coverage and step into different roles during peak hours to keep service levels strong.
Guest service and hospitality
- Lead by example in placing the guest first and reinforcing strong hospitality habits.
- Reply to customer requests promptly and with the right sense of urgency.
- Handle service complaints quickly and work to convert difficult situations into positive outcomes.
Operations management
- Follow and enforce all operational standards for the outlet.
- Make sure products and packaging are displayed and replenished correctly.
- Oversee shift cash handling and related procedures.
- Use the work schedule effectively to keep operations efficient.
- Supervise completion of primary and secondary job duties by the team.
- Ensure store rules are followed during the shift, including cash handling, meal and break rules, and food safety requirements.
- Stay updated on new products, promotions, and discount plans.
- Support the Store Manager in improving sales and transaction volume during the shift.
- Complete shift records and reports such as waste logs, manager walk-throughs, and store checklists.
- Escalate unresolved concerns or operational issues to the appropriate senior manager.
Health and safety
- Understand and follow safe working practices at all times.
- Wear or use required protective equipment and clothing when needed.
- Report injuries, accidents, unsafe situations, security concerns, and any breach of safety rules or legislation to the Store Manager or Area Manager.
- Avoid any action or equipment use that could place anyone at risk.
- Ensure health and safety procedures are followed throughout the shift, including required documentation and incident reporting.
Cashiering
- Make sure store equipment used for transactions is working properly.
- Count the cash drawer at the start of the shift to confirm the amount and ensure sufficient change is available.
- Process payments by cash, card, vouchers, or auto-debit as needed.
- Issue receipts, refunds, and change accurately.
- Keep the checkout area neat and organized.

This position is operational in nature and is expected to support daily store performance, service quality, stock control, and compliance with company procedures.
