Role Overview
We are seeking a dependable and proactive Storeperson/Truck Driver to join the Welshpool team. The position combines metro delivery driving with warehouse support, including receiving, storing, and dispatching stock.
Key Duties
- Operate an MR truck with a 6T trailer capacity safely and confidently to complete parts deliveries across the metro area
- Load and unload vehicles, using a forklift when required
- Keep delivery and stock records accurate and up to date
- Ensure the warehouse and vehicle remain clean, orderly, and safe
- Assist with core warehouse functions such as receiving, storing, and sending out goods
- Deliver a high standard of customer service during drop-offs and day-to-day interactions
- Look after the vehicle and equipment through proper care and maintenance
- Work independently while using sound judgment and problem-solving skills
Requirements
- Current HR driver’s licence with at least 2 years of experience
- Valid forklift licence/ticket
- Good physical fitness and the ability to complete manual handling tasks
- Basic mechanical know-how for simple troubleshooting
- Strong focus on safety and quality
- Prior experience in stores or warehouse work is an advantage, though not essential
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative attitude
