Role overview
This full-time Supervisor position is based in Kilkenny, County Kilkenny, Ireland. The role’s core objective is to lead, encourage, and coordinate the team so the store runs smoothly, efficiently, and with consistently strong customer service.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the team in a way that reflects the Centra values of being proud, energetic, imaginative, and community-focused.
- Act as a visible example for others by maintaining a helpful attitude, encouraging collaboration, and promoting a positive workplace culture.
- Set expectations for stock rotation, merchandising, and facing shelves/items to a high standard.
- Support the onboarding, coaching, and development of store employees.
- Handle customer questions and concerns in a prompt, professional manner and in line with store procedures.
- Take part in new initiatives and be open to improved ways of working.
Candidate profile
The preferred candidate should bring customer-facing experience, strong communication skills, and the confidence to stay organised in a busy environment. The role also calls for someone who can handle multiple priorities under pressure, delegate tasks effectively, and support colleagues as needed.
- At least 2 years of experience in a customer service-facing role is desirable.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well within a team in a fast-moving setting.
- Good multitasking, planning, and delegation skills.
