Role overview

A multinational organisation is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager for a permanent position in Dublin. The role sits within the supply chain function and offers a hybrid working arrangement.

This position is central to building strong partnerships with suppliers across different regions and ensuring the business is prepared for the prompt launch of new products and materials.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee and grow a varied product range so product availability and customer service targets are consistently met.
  • Share plans with external manufacturers to control stock levels, supplier fulfilment timelines, safety stock, and reduce the risk of shortages.
  • Drive demand planning by incorporating input from all relevant functions into forward-looking demand forecasts.
  • Create and roll out supply chain strategies that support business goals, improve inventory efficiency, cut costs, and strengthen operational performance.
  • Set up and sustain S&OP processes by working closely with stakeholders at both local and global levels.
  • Monitor supplier performance and shape it through effective relationship management.
  • Identify and implement backup solutions quickly when internal or external issues threaten stock continuity.
  • Keep inventory balanced in line with business needs to ensure uninterrupted supply while maintaining optimal stock holdings and lower carrying costs.
  • Build strong supplier relationships to achieve high service-level agreement performance.

Experience and requirements

  • At least 6 years of end-to-end supply chain experience, preferably in regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals, medical technology, or similar sectors.
  • Hands-on experience working with external manufacturers and managing complex supply networks across several sites and regions.
  • Proven ability in supplier engagement, relationship management, and performance monitoring to support operational excellence and business aims.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
