The assignment sits within the Assistance and Advisory Service (AAS) programme. The NCI Agency is NATO’s primary provider of C3 capabilities and CIS services, maintaining and defending the NATO IT infrastructure so Allies can consult under Article IV and stand together under Article V when needed.
Role ID: 2026-0073.
Key responsibilities
You will help deliver advanced third-level technical support for NSATU NATO CIS services, related architecture, and IT/data management services, with a focus on keeping service availability aligned to agreed targets. The role also involves supporting fault diagnosis through the IT and Data Management Services Management System, using both local and remote troubleshooting methods.
You will assist with scheduled maintenance across infrastructure, management appliances, and associated NSATU IT/data management equipment, while also keeping technical documentation current to reflect configuration, procedure, and system changes. In addition, you will support backup and restore validation, remote intervention when required, and close coordination with internal and external stakeholders to maintain effective service delivery.
The position also includes support for incident, change, and release management, along with evidence collection and reporting to demonstrate service performance against KPIs, monitor service health and risks, and support payment validation and operational decisions. Monthly service performance reports, incident notifications, status updates, post-incident reports with root-cause analysis and corrective actions, KPI evidence, breach identification, service-credit calculations, and dashboard reporting are also part of the output expected from this role.
Continuous improvement is an important part of the assignment, including identifying optimisation opportunities, proposing and tracking corrective and preventive actions, and monitoring recurring issues to improve long-term service performance.
