Role overview

This is a contract Talent Acquisition Coordinator position for TekStaff's client, based in Toronto, Ontario. The assignment is expected to run for about 6 months. The role is fully remote, but candidates must be located within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).

What you'll do

  • Coordinate requisition assignments, prepare offer letters, and track completion of background screening clearance.
  • Handle day-to-day communication with internal teams and external partners to keep hiring activities moving, including offer letter steps, screening follow-ups, and candidate or hiring manager check-ins.
  • Make sure requisitions are assigned in Workday within the required service levels.
  • Support a smooth post-offer journey for both candidates and hiring managers in Workday.
  • Run the full offer letter workflow and confirm that all approvals, reviews, and required information are properly completed.
  • Look into Workday-related problems or errors tied to offer letters or pre-employment screening, then resolve and follow up as needed.
  • Assist the team with additional projects when required.

Required experience and strengths

  • Usually 1 to 3 years of related experience is expected; candidates with a relevant postsecondary credential may need less experience.
  • Intermediate ability with Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Comfortable working on your own, managing time effectively, and escalating issues when necessary.
  • Strong verbal and written communication ability.
  • Solid collaboration and teamwork skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to influence others effectively.

Preferred background

  • Prior success in recruiting or sourcing is an advantage.
  • Postsecondary education related to the field is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Workday is a plus.
  • Previous financial industry experience is also desirable.

Work arrangement
