Role overview
This position is for an experienced Tax Manager who can take charge of tax compliance, advisory support, and planning activities. The role requires someone who can improve tax processes, keep the business aligned with legal requirements, and guide teams on tax matters that affect day-to-day decisions and broader business goals.
Key responsibilities
- Own and coordinate corporate tax compliance, filing, and reporting activities.
- Design and roll out tax approaches that support business priorities while staying within regulatory rules.
- Track updates in tax legislation, regulatory changes, and industry practices to maintain compliance.
- Draft and verify tax computations, returns, reports, and related backup documents.
- Work with tax offices, outside advisors, and internal teams to handle tax matters smoothly.
- Research tax issues and advise on transactions and operational decisions.
- Spot tax exposure areas and put controls and mitigation steps in place.
- Assist with audits, assessments, and other regulatory examinations.
- Partner with finance, accounting, and business functions on taxation-related work.
- Prepare tax analysis, reporting, and recommendations for senior management.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Economics, or a similar discipline is preferred.
- Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, CTA, or an equivalent credential are an advantage.
- At least 5 years of experience in taxation, tax advisory, corporate tax, or comparable roles.
- Preference for candidates with 2 or more years of experience leading tax functions or managing tax projects.
- Strong understanding of corporate tax, compliance obligations, and regulatory expectations.
- Hands-on exposure to tax planning, reporting, and audit-related work.
- Good analytical thinking, research ability, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders effectively.
- Careful attention to detail and solid organizational habits.
- Experience using ERP platforms and tax management software is beneficial.
- Ability to operate independently in a remote work setting.
