Technical Program Manager, Data Center

Role overview

In this position, you will partner with stakeholders, customers, and external teams to shape long-range plans and launch new infrastructure initiatives. You will oversee multiple data center service efforts, guiding engineers and cross-functional groups to deliver work on schedule and within budget. The role calls for strong technical decision-making, the ability to review proposals critically, and skill in building agreement across teams. You will also evaluate operational and system performance data, turn findings into clear recommendations, and share strategic updates and analysis with senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with partners, customers, and key stakeholders to define plans, set long-term direction, launch new programs, and carry them through execution.
• Coordinate multiple workstreams, work closely with teams and engineers, and help drive the planning, deployment, and delivery of data center services and infrastructure.
• Prepare project artifacts such as documentation, process flows, presentations, and tracking reports so that project status remains clear and current.
• Apply technical judgment to guide delivery, review technologies, assess proposals, and align teams on decisions.
• Review service and system performance data, convert findings into practical recommendations, and provide quantitative analysis to support action planning.
• Act as an escalation contact for external partners while coordinating across internal stakeholders.
• Share analysis and recommendations with internal audiences, including executive leadership, and own delivery of project outcomes.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering or an equivalent amount of practical experience.
• At least 8 years of experience in program management or project management.
• Experience handling data center infrastructure and fit-out projects.
• Background in managing partners, stakeholders, and vendors.
• Familiarity with project management tools and the ability to adapt them for complex programs.
• Knowledge of construction, permits, and local industry standards, especially in data center construction and services programs.
• Working understanding of finance as it relates to project and program management.
• Comfort working in a fast-moving, changing environment with competing priorities and ambiguity.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with organization, prioritization, and multitasking ability.
